HEAT RESISTANT LATEX RUBBER THREAD BUSINESS
As part of its expansion plans in the North East India, DS Group set up a manufacturing unit at Agartala (Tripura) in year 2006 for manufacturing of Heat Resistant Latex Rubber Thread with a total installed capacity of 5,000 MTs annually. The factory is located in the sprawling area of 11 acres with current installed capacity of 5000 Mts/annum which has been further expended to 10,000 Mts/annum capacity. The Business operates under a dedicated Division i.e. Rubber Division under “DHARAMPAL SATYAPAL LIMITED”

Latex Rubber Thread is a textile industry input and has wide applications in various Products like Inner Wear, Sportswear, Skirts, Shorts, Travel Goods, Diapers, Wrist Bands, Head Bands, Socks, and Surface Furnishings etc.  Our Latex Rubber Thread is sold under Brand name “UNITEXX”

EXPORT MARKET:
Company has been exporting its Rubber Thread all over the world. It has exported in past to Poland, Turkey, Bangladesh etc. The Plant being only 20 Kms away from Akhaura Border in Bangladesh, Unit has a huge potential to export to large Bangladesh Market where Textiles are the mainstay of its economy.

PACKING:
Unitexx Brand Rubber Threads are offered in unit packing of 25 to 30 Kgs per Carton (Box) for normal Counts and 20-21 Kgs/Carton for superfine Counts like 90 Count, 100 Count, and 110 Count. The Carton is a corrugated, multi-layer semi-virgin craft paper Box in Brown Colour.

QUALITY STANDARDS:
There are several factors which decide the Quality of rubber thread. Rubber content is the most important one. Higher rubber content gives higher elasticity to the thread. Rubber threads with higher rubber percentage will retain its elasticity even after repeated stretching.  Quality of the rubber thread decides the Quality of the Elastic Tape. If a garment manufacturer wants to use better quality elastic tape he should look at the rubber content in the thread that is used in the elastic tape. From the very beginning we decided that we would produce only the best quality of rubber thread.  So we keep high rubber content in our thread.  We add bare minimum fillers required for the reinforcing effect. Role of other additives like vulcanizing agents, accelerators and anti-oxidants is also very important as they determine strength of Thread but also impact heat-resistance properties as well as shelf-life of Thread.

Our thread has other qualities as well.  Since we have one of the best plants in the world (latest design from the best Italian Engineering firm) we produce rubber thread that is genuinely heat resistant. Our thread can withstand hot water washing many more  times than the thread produced by any of our competitors Tests have shown that our thread retains 80% of its tensile properties at 100º C for 22 hrs.

Ageing of our threads is also very slow because 25% of curing takes place after our thread is packed. Quality gets better even after our thread leaves the factory.   Deterioration takes place after a long time.  That deterioration also is very slow because we add the recommended doses of anti-oxidants.  We do not dilute the quality or quantity of anti-oxidants which are added to the latex compound.

On an average we spend additional Rs 10 per Kg on rubber and anti-oxidants in our thread, but the impact of that extra cost of one garment will be only about 3 paise.

We understand that User won’t mind spending that bit of extra money (3 paise per garment) to ensure that you are using the best elastic tape in your garments, which in turn will give you the best brand Value, best price, less customer-complaints and less rejections.

The Heat resistant latex Rubber thread project has generated employment among local youth of Tripura and the North Eastern region of India. It has benefited thousands of families engaged in Rubber plantation and processing, as the raw material latex is totally procured locally.
